Labor Day has a great meaning to the workforce of today. However, few know what it really means. I do not like to attack one particular company, although in this case, Publix will be my victim.

Publix was the premiere supermarket in my time. Closed on Sunday's high standards in hiring practices, and the list goes on and on. Publix really cared about the employee (the Labor force).

Today is Labor Day and how many Publix Supermarkets are open? Where is the observance of Labor Day to the labor force?

Significant observation folks.

Hillsborough County School Board member has moved from the district that elected her. Does anyone seem to really care? As a constituent this should bother many a voters. I can understand the delemmia of getting divorced, losing 50 percent of another income. What I cannot understand is why after the ethics opin from Tallahassee and the local board, why is this person still in office.

The ethical stance should be, you don't live here, you can't represent here. When you take the oath of office, you take the oath to follow the rules. How can you enforce rules or regulations that you yourself do not follow. As a voter this should be a concern.

With my recent move, I can appreciate the upheaval, SERIOUSLY. However, I can also understand that if a job says you must live in a certain area, you must live there or give up that job. I have held 2 specific jobs that have mandatated where I live. When I wanted to move, I left those jobs.

It's time to start following the rules folks.

I will start off with the most annoying. Moving downtown was not the dream I once imagined. It was no Mary Tyler Moore hat throwing occasion I can tell you. I have been lucky enough to sublet (woo the NY term in sunny funny Florida) my humble place to a corporation that was more than willing to pay 2 times the overpriced amount I paid.

The pitfalls were plenty, no access, telephone worked when the solar eclipse happened, and lets just say the night scene was pretty close to 5th encounter of the weirdest.

I missed my local political shows on tv that it drove me to attend in person. Not nearly as entertaining, and I cannot wear my fuzzy slippers while watching. The whole in person thing was just not in the cards for me.

I missed a lot of chirping I tell you, and I have one post I am geared up to release... What is with the School Board lady that moved????

Stay tuned Cricket is back and full of interesting insights...
